Out of the Scottish Cup and six points off the pace in the Scottish Premiership title race, Rangers are facing a second successive season without silverware as they approach the final nine games of the campaign.
Winning just one of their opening seven games under former head coach Russell Martin, his replacement Danny Rohl faced an uphill battle to drag Rangers back into contention for the league title when appointed in October.
Despite taking them to within two points of the summit last month, draws against Motherwell, Livingston and Celtic have proven costly in their quest to wrestle the top spot away from Hearts, with Rohl’s team now in third place.
Set to enter his second transfer window as Ibrox boss this summer, the 36-year-old head coach will be hopeful of adding to his squad as he looks to restore Rangers to their former glories. However, as it so often does, new arrivals will likely see others depart as the club prepares for another summer of change.
With movement anticipated in the summer transfer window, The Scotsman take a look at the 16 players who could leave Rangers at the end of the season:

1. Rabbi Matondo
The Wales international has seen his time at Ibrox wrecked by injury, and will reach the conclusion of his contract in the summer. Far down the pecking order, and without a start in over a year, Matondo is highly unlikely to be offered a new deal and is set to depart the club at the end of the season. | SNS Group Photo: SNS Group

2. Andreas Skov Olsen
The club has the option to make his loan deal from Wolfsburg a permanent one for around £8million at the end of the season - if they want to. The Danish international has been sporadic with his goal involvements and has nine games to prove his worth. | SNS Group Photo: SNS Group

3. Derek Cornelius
Signed on a season-long loan from Marseille, the Canadian defender had a strong start at Ibrox but saw a muscle injury curtail his progress in November. He hasn’t returned from the issue at the time of writing, and a permanent move seems unlikely at present, despite the club holding an option to purchase in the summer. | SNS Group Photo: SNS Group

4. Jayden Meghoma
The teenage full-back was a late addition last summer, signing on a season-long loan deal from Brentford.
