Rangers head coach Danny Rohl has taken his side to within three points of league leaders Hearts after winning 12 of his first 15 games in charge of the club - and now he’ll look to strengthen his squad further during the January transfer window.
With the Glasgow giants back in contention for the Scottish Premiership title, they confirmed their first arrival of the window at the weekend, signing Sturm Graz midfielder Tochi Chukwuani for a fee in the region of £4million. Belgian under-21 left-back Tuur Rommens is also thought to be closing in on a move to Ibrox.
Sunderland duo Dan Neil and Romaine Mundle were also linked with the club late last week, with a whole host of names tipped to make moves to Govan less than a fortnight into the winter transfer window, meaning several others could depart as Rangers look to offload some of their fringe stars.
With plenty more work anticipated in the January transfer window, The Scotsman take a look at the 13 players who could depart Rangers this month as the wheels begin to turn in the January transfer window.

9. Djeidi Gassama - COULD LEAVE
While reports say Rangers have no interest in selling the player, who only joined from Sheffield Wednesday in the summer, strong rumours of interest from La Liga giants Villarreal mean an exit cannot be ruled out. | SNS Group Photo: SNS Group

10. Rabbi Matondo - COULD LEAVE
Out of contract in the summer, the Wales international has returned to the Rangers matchday squad in recent weeks following a troublesome knee injury. However, he'll be allowed to depart this month if an offer comes in that matches Rangers demands. | Getty Images Photo: Getty Images

11. Oscar Cortes - ANOTHER LOAN?
The Rangers winger has struggled for regular game time in Spain after joining Sporting Gijon on loan in the summer, and his deal could be brought to an end this month. Has been linked with a loan return to his homeland of Colombia in recent weeks. | SNS Group Photo: SNS Group

12. Kieran Dowell - COULD LEAVE
Surplus to requirements at Rangers and will allowed to leave if a suitable offer is made for his service this month. | SNS Group Photo: SNS Group
