This week sees a fresh batch of candidates compete to win a £250,000 investment from Lord Sugar in the 20th series of the long-running BBC show The Apprentice.
First broadcast in the UK in February 2005, following the success of the American version featuring a certain Donald J. Trump, The Apprentice is one of the Beeb’s most successful shows.
Originally aired on BBC 2 it soon made the transition to BBC One, as viewers became hooked on the tasks set by Amstrad founder Lord Sugar.
Season 20 of the show will launch on Thursday, January 29, at 9pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
And the first episode will see the boardroom held in Hong Kong - with Baroness Karren Brady and former winner Tim Campbell advising Lord Sugar on the suitability of the candidates.
The last entrepreneur standing will receive a cool quarter-of-a-million pound investment, along with mentorship from Lord Sugar himself.

"I built Mavade from cutting hair in my mum’s home to becoming one of the South London's Top barber shops. I understand branding, operations and scale, and I’ve created a model that blends grooming, tech, education and lifestyle into one system. I’m not guessing my way through business. I’m proven, battle tested and I operate with long term vision. I know how to lead, innovate and build from nothing." | BBC

10. Megan Ruiter
"I am such a hard worker, I currently own three successful businesses, and each business has taught me so many business and life lessons. I don't know what a 9-5 job is because my work life is 24/7. I have such a strong desire to succeed in life as a well established businesswoman and I am currently on a mission to achieve that dream goal for myself. I have no ‘off’ button, it's always go, go, go." | BBC

11. Lawrence Rosenberg
"I’m solid in some important areas for candidates - I’m quick when thinking on my feet, confident in pitches, and I enjoy using my people skills to get a good deal. Maybe that’s not unique, but I suppose everyone is in their own way, after all there’s never been a ‘me’ before." | BBC

12. Levi Hague
"People say I’m a man who’s lived a thousand lives, from a tough upbringing to serving in the RAF and now building a business that started from my spare room into a nationally recognised brand. I’ve been told I’d never make it in life, but every challenge and every doubt has only driven me to prove people wrong. Those experiences have built resilience, discipline, and compassion, qualities that define both me and my business. I’m not just in this to succeed - I’m in this to show that anyone can turn pain into purpose." | BBC
