Scotland got their inaugural Nations Championship campaign off to a flying start with a 47-38 win over Argentina at the Estadio Mario Alberto Kempes.
It was far from the perfect performance from Gregor Townsend’s side, with Los Pumas very much on top for periods of the game, but there were lots of positives aside form the result to be thrilled with.
In particular, a new-look back line that was without Finn Russell and Blair Kinghorn were exceptional and showed the kind of fluidity you’d expect from players who had played a lot more Test level rugby together than they had.
Here are our player ratings from Scotland’s win over Argentina:

9. Ben White - 8
Terrific offload for try number five and another who was required to work hard in defence. Continues to seldom put a foot wrong with so much competition in the Scotland ranks at nine | Getty Images

10. Tom Jordan - 7
Left the pitch early for a HIA but returned. Kicking from tee was iffy at first but he soon found his consistency. Managed the game well and was an important part of a fluid back line | AFP via Getty Images

11. Jamie Dobie - 6
Sin binning brings him down a bit which is harsh because although he didn't individually grab any headlines he was still part of Scotland's impressive back line | AFP via Getty Images

12. Sione Tuipulotu - 9
Perhaps one of his best performances in a Scotland shirt for a wee while which is saying something by his incredible standards. As always a beast in attack and defence and without him the result is probably a different one | AFP via Getty Images
