Scotland got their inaugural Nations Championship campaign off to a flying start with a 47-38 win over Argentina at the Estadio Mario Alberto Kempes.
It was far from the perfect performance from Gregor Townsend’s side, with Los Pumas very much on top for periods of the game, but there were lots of positives aside form the result to be thrilled with.
In particular, a new-look back line that was without Finn Russell and Blair Kinghorn were exceptional and showed the kind of fluidity you’d expect from players who had played a lot more Test level rugby together than they had.
Here are our player ratings from Scotland’s win over Argentina:

13. Rory Hutchinson - 9
Exceptional pass to Tuipulotu for first try. Made a difficult finish look simple for third try. Classy performance from a classy player who was Man of the Match with so many to choose from | AFP via Getty Images

14. Kyle Steyn - 8
Full of running and dominant in the air as usual epitomised by an unreal two handed take which helped change momentum of game during a spell of Pumas dominance. | AFP via Getty Images

15. Kyle Rowe - 9
A breath-taking run to within a few feet of the try line before being brough down but his 20-metre gain set up Schoeman to charge over from close range for second try. Finished off a superb individual performance with a try backing himself on the outside. | AFP via Getty Images

16. Replacements (Forwards)
Gregor Hiddleston gets a try on debut in a special moment for him (6). Zander Fagerson asked to put in a long shift after Millar Mills injury (7). Sutherland slotted into team seamlessly as did Alex Samuel (both 5s). Gregor Brown made an immediate impact off the bench to score the bonus point try (6). | AFP via Getty Images
