The new Scottish Premiership season is upon us, with football clubs across the country launching their brand new home, away and third kits as supporters gear up for the big kick-off later this week.
The season has already started for many top-flight sides, with the Premier Sports Cup and European qualifiers underway. Meanwhile, others have completed their pre-season schedules and are ready for the competitive action to begin. Set to start on July 31 with a clash between Dundee United and Rangers, the 2026/27 Scottish Premiership season will see supporters across the country sporting their club’s brand new jerseys - but which club has released the best away design this year?
With brand new designs from Macron, Umbro, Adidas and Hummel, we have put together our list of the best - and the worst - Scottish Premiership away kits for 2026/27, from 12 to 1.

1. 12th: Rangers
We can't pin down exactly why this kit has proven so unpopular, but we can agree with the assessment that it simply isn't very nice. Intended to pay tribute to the main stand at Ibrox, it's one of the more disappointing efforts of the summer, and the Umbro design has been described as "lazy" by sections of the fanbase. 2/10. This shirt retails at £85 for adult sizes, making it the most expensive shirt in the league. | SNS Group Photo: SNS Group

2. 11th: Aberdeen
It's not offensive, but it is as boring as it possibly could be. The thin red trim is just about the only added detail, but it adds next to nothing. Instantly forgettable. Macron have done so much better than this in previous years across the league. This shirt retails at £70 for adult sizes. | SNS Group Photo: SNSN Group

3. 10th: Hearts
There's no doubting how well Hummel has performed as Hearts' kit supplier recently, but this white design misses the mark. The central badge really doesn't work, while the round neck, as opposed to the collar present on the home kit, only adds to the mundane look. Poor. 4/10. This shirt retails at £60 for adult sizes. | SNS Group Photo: SNS Group

4. 9th: Celtic
The first of two away kits released by Celtic this season, the cream kit is said to be inspired by the club's beloved Lisbon Lions team of 1967. It's a bit boring, though. This shirt retails at £75 for adult sizes. | SNS Group Photo: SNS Group
