The new Scottish Premiership season is upon us, with football clubs across the country launching their brand new home, away and third kits as supporters gear up for the big kick-off later this week.
The season has already started for many top-flight sides, with the Premier Sports Cup and European qualifiers underway. Meanwhile, others have completed their pre-season schedules and are ready for the competitive action to begin. Set to start on July 31 with a clash between Dundee United and Rangers, the 2026/27 Scottish Premiership season will see supporters across the country sporting their club’s brand new jerseys - but which club has released the best away design this year?
With brand new designs from Macron, Umbro, Adidas and Hummel, we have put together our list of the best - and the worst - Scottish Premiership away kits for 2026/27, from 12 to 1.

5. 8th: St Johnstone
It teeters on the brink of being quite a nice shirt with the intriguing light blue pattern, but the sponsor really lets it down. Simo Valakari and the boys could have been further up this list without that, but kit manufacturer Puma can't be blamed for that. Not bad. This shirt retails at £55 for adult sizes. | SNS Group Photo: SNS Group

6. 7th: Motherwell
Certainly better than their home kit, which uses a similar template but with the colours switched around. The claret base is added to by stylish amber piping. We don't like the big amber sponsor-dominant front, but it's a traditional-looking design for Motherwell supporters. | Motherwell FC Photo: Motherwell FC

7. 6th: Falkirk
The slug-like sponsor from last year is gone and has been replaced by McEwan Fraser, which is a relief for all. The white design is basic, but the golden trim is a nice added extra. We like the collar, too. 7/10. This shirt retails at £60 for adult sizes. | Falkirk FC

8. 5th: Dundee
The white on sky blue is a real risk, but it pays off with the Macron design that Dundee will wear on their travels. Central badges can be a risk. However, the simplicity allows it to pass with flying colours. It doesn't quite match last year's excellent away kit, but it's another solid 7/10 effort.
