The African Cup of Nations gets underway in Morocco this month - meaning several Scottish Premiership teams will see their squads depleted during a tough Christmas schedule.
Set to begin on Sunday, 21 December 2025 at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, tournament hosts Morocco will face off against Comoros in the opening match. The competition will run for almost exactly a month, with the final set to be held at the same stadium on Sunday, 18 January 2026.
But which current - and former - Scottish Premiership players will be taking part in the tournament?
With players from Celtic, Rangers, Hearts, Hibs and Motherwell taking part, we look at the 15 players who will be featuring at the tournament this winter, who currently - or previously - represented clubs in Scotland.

1. Rocky Bushiri - DR Congo

2. Amad Diallo - Ivory Coast
He struggled on loan at Rangers a few seasons ago, but the Ivorian forward has really rose to prominence at Old Trafford in the last 18 months. One of the most promising players at the tournament, he'll be relied upon heavily if Ivory Coast are to win a second consecutive, and fourth overall, AFCON championship. | SNS Group Photo: SNS Group

3. Toby Sibbick - Uganda
Now playing for Burton Albion in EFL League One, former Hearts defender Sibbick was born in the south of England, but opted to switch his international allegiance last season to Uganda. He is eligible for selection via his mother, and has four caps for his country. | SNS Group Photo: SNS Group

4. Uche Ikpeazu - Uganda
Also included in the Ugandan squad for the tournament is St Johnstone frontman Ikpeazu. After making his full international debut in September 2025, the 30-year-old is heading to his first major tournament. | SNS Group Photo: SNS Group
