The African Cup of Nations gets underway in Morocco this month - meaning several Scottish Premiership teams will see their squads depleted during a tough Christmas schedule.
Set to begin on Sunday, 21 December 2025 at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, tournament hosts Morocco will face off against Comoros in the opening match. The competition will run for almost exactly a month, with the final set to be held at the same stadium on Sunday, 18 January 2026.
But which current - and former - Scottish Premiership players will be taking part in the tournament?

14. Vakoun Bayo - Ivory Coast
Played just nine league games for Celtic after arriving from Dunajská Streda. Scored twice on his first start for the club during a 3-1 win against Hearts, but struggled to make any further impact due to a combination of injury and form. Currently plays for Udinese in Serie A, and scored 10 goals on loan to Watford in the EFL Championship last season. He's heading to the tournament with Ivory Coast. | SNS Group Photo: SNS Group

15. Alfons Amade - Mozambique
While not a top flight player, the Dunfermline Athletic defender will represent the Scottish Championship at AFCON after being called up by Mozambique. A former Germany youth international, he has 13 caps since switching allegiance last year. | SNS Group
