Rangers will turn their attention to Scottish Cup action this weekend as they welcome Annan Athletic to Ibrox on Friday (kick-off: 7.45pm).
Danny Rohl’s side downed Aberdeen last weekend, as goals from Thelo Aasgaard and James Tavernier helped the Gers keep the pressure on league leaders Hearts. However, the Scottish Premiership takes a back seat this weekend as the fourth round of the Scottish Cup takes precedence.
Their third-tier visitors, Annan, have been out of action since December 27, with weather conditions meaning their last two fixtures against Stirling Albion and Elgin City were postponed. Willie Gibson’s side enter the game as huge underdogs, but will hope they can take inspiration from the Galabankies side that won 2-1 at Ibrox back in March 2013.
