Scotland ramp up their preparations for this summer’s World Cup as they face the Ivory Coast at Everton’s Hill Dickinson Stadium on Tuesday night (kick-off: 7.30pm).
While some may find it unusual to see Steve Clarke’s side playing a pre-World Cup friendly away from their home ground of Hampden Park, there are several connections which link Everton and Scotland, such as Scottish architect Archibald Leitch being responsible for designing their cherished old ground, Goodison Park.
Several big-name Scottish players have represented the Toffees, with the likes of Richard Gough, Graeme Sharp and most recently Nathan Patterson all donning the royal blue of Everton in the last couple of decades. But who are the last 10 Scotland internationals to receive caps whilst playing for Everton?
Ranked in order from newest to oldest, here are Everton’s last 10 Scottish internationals:

9. Duncan Ferguson
'Big Dunc' remains one of Everton's most cherished centre forwards, yet he made just seven appearances for Scotland due to a fallout with the Scottish FA over the imposition of a 12-game ban on top of his three-month prison sentence whilst playing for Rangers in the early 1990s. Making his final appearance for Scotland against Estonia in 1997, he rejected an offer from Walter Smith to represent the national team in 2005 before retiring from football a year later. He recently admitted he regrets his decision to reject playing for the national team. | Getty Images Photo: Getty Images

10. Pat Nevin
A fan favourite at Everton during his four year spell at the club between 1988 and 1992. Nevin was capped 28 times by Scotland, with five of those caps coming during his time on Merseyside. | Hulton Archive
