Scotland ramp up their preparations for this summer’s World Cup as they face the Ivory Coast at Everton’s Hill Dickinson Stadium on Tuesday night (kick-off: 7.30pm).
While some may find it unusual to see Steve Clarke’s side playing a pre-World Cup friendly away from their home ground of Hampden Park, there are several connections which link Everton and Scotland, such as Scottish architect Archibald Leitch being responsible for designing their cherished old ground, Goodison Park.
Several big-name Scottish players have represented the Toffees, with the likes of Richard Gough, Graeme Sharp and most recently Nathan Patterson all donning the royal blue of Everton in the last couple of decades. But who are the last 10 Scotland internationals to receive caps whilst playing for Everton?
Ranked in order from newest to oldest, here are Everton’s last 10 Scottish internationals:

5. David Weir
Became Scotland's oldest outfield player at the age of 40 years and 116 days when he started against Lithuania in September 2010. He earned his first cap for Scotland in a 1–0 defeat to Wales on 27 May 1999. Went on to be capped a total of 69 times, with the majority of those appearances coming during his time at Everton between 1999 and 2007. | Getty Images Photo: Getty Images

6. Scot Gemmill
Currently head coach of the Scotland Under-21 side, Gemmill was part of the squads for the Euro 1996 and 1998 World Cup but failed to make an appearance in either. The midfielder was capped 26 times by Scotland, with his final appearance coming against Austria in April 2003 whilst on the books of Everton. | Getty Images Photo: Getty Images

7. John Collins
The classy midfielder famously scored against defending champions Brazil at the 1998 World Cup, mere weeks before signing for Everton. Capped 58 times by Scotland, he retired from international football shortly after the Euro 2000 playoff defeat to England in November 1999 while on the books of Everton. | Getty Images Photo: Getty Images

8. Don Hutchison
Famously scored Scotland's last ever goal at the old Wembley, heading home the winner in a 1-0 win over England in the second leg of the Euro 2020 playoffs. Despite being born in Gateshead, Hutchison had a strong desire to represent Scotland due to his strong relationship with his Scottish grandfather. He bagged four goals in his first seven appearances for his country after being handed an international debut in 1999 whilst playing for Everton.
