Scotland fans have just 27 more days to wait until Steve Clarke’s side gets their World Cup campaign underway with a clash against Haiti in Foxborough, Massachusetts.
The first time Scotland has qualified for the World Cup since 1998, a generation of Tartan Army supporters are now counting down the days until the tournament begins in June. With Clarke’s 26-man squad set to be announced on Tuesday, the anticipation is reaching fever pitch.
While Scott McTominay, Andy Robertson and John McGinn can sleep soundly enough knowing they are virtually guaranteed a spot on the plane to the United States, several others face an anxious wait to discover if they’ve made the list.
Here, we look at 10 players sweating over a call-up to the Scotland World Cup squad:

1. Max Johnston - Derby County
The right-back hasn't played a full 90 minutes since October due to injury, and has started just two of Derby's last five games as the nurse him back to fitness. With several options available in his position, will he be left at home in favour of a more experienced option? | SNS Group

2. Findlay Curtis - Kilmarnock
The teenager has been in stunning form since joining Kilmarnock on loan in February, scoring six goals in 14 appearances. He was a shock inclusion in the Scotland squad for the March fixtures, but was only given a short time to impress on the field vs Japan. His form has only improved since then, but he could be culled in order to make way for more experienced senior pros. | SNS Group

3. Dominic Hyam - Wrexham
A virtual ever-present for a Wrexham side who narrowly missed out on the EFL Championship playoffs, Hyam has done himself no harm this season when it comes to nabbing a place in the Scotland World Cup squad. However, Clarke could opt to leave him at home this summer, with John Souttar, Grant Hanley, Scott McKenna and Jack Hendry seemingly still ahead of him in the pecking order. | SNS Group

4. Josh Mulligan - Hibs
Yet to be capped at senior level, the versatile midfielder was brought into the Scotland squad at the back end of the qualifying campaign, having made a huge impression in the opening months of the campaign at Easter Road. However, injury effectively ended his season in January, and while he was able to play 45 minutes against Motherwell on the final day of the season, Mulligan's lack of match fitness could scupper his chances of being included in the World Cup squad. | SNS Group
