It’s the question on everyone lips, in pubs and WhatsApp chats across the land - what should the Scotland team be against Denmark on Tuesday night?

Should they draw or lose, then Scotland will have to navigate two play-offs next March to secure their place.

9. John McGinn
Struggled to get into the game at times against Greece but stuck at it and had a better second half. Knows what is required on a high-octane occasion like Tuesday, when the Scots need as many skippers on the field as possible. | Getty Images

10. Scott McTominay
Scotland need an overdue big performance from the talismanic Napoli player. Even when not playing particularly well, tends to be involved in big moments. Hit the bar and almost grabbed a late equaliser v Greece. | Getty Images

11. Che Adams
A divisive choice? No doubt. Has taken a lot of flak for the chances he spurned in Greece. Might not be looking as sharp as hoped but still the best player Scotland have for leading the line. Hasn’t scored against top level international opposition for a while – not since a goal against….Denmark to secure a home play-off in qualifying for the last World Cup. | AFP via Getty Images
