It’s the question on everyone lips, in pubs and WhatsApp chats across the land - what should the Scotland team be against Denmark on Tuesday night?
The Scots have to beat the Danes at Hampden to finish top of Group C and advance directly to next summer’s World Cup finals in USA, Mexico and Canada.
Should they draw or lose, then Scotland will have to navigate two play-offs next March to secure their place.
Our chief football writer Alan Pattullo picks his team that he reckons will get the job done in Glasgow.

5. Andy Robertson
The skipper, the one with so much riding on the outcome as he seeks to realise the dream of playing at a World Cup in what might well prove his last chance. Of course there’s a play-off place banked but he will want to return to Liverpool knowing Scotland are already in North America. | AFP via Getty Images

6. Lewis Ferguson
There will be a clamour for Billy Gilmour to return against Denmark and it’s tempting. Ferguson would be one of the candidates to drop out but do you drop the captain of Bologna for player who isn’t necessarily 100 per cent fit? It hasn’t even been confirmed that Gilmour’s joining the squad yet. | Getty Images

7. Ryan Christie
Scored his ninth goal in 63 caps against Greece on Saturday. Anyone thinking Clarke is dropping Christie needs their heads examined. Seems to be enjoying a new deeper role for Scotland and where he’s often deployed for Bournemouth. | Getty Images

8. Ben Gannon-Doak
A first goal for Scotland will do him the world of good, particularly after missing a great chance to equalise just before half time against Greece. Makes things happen – and the Scots need things to happen against Denmark on Tuesday. Another huge test for the 20-year-old. | AFP via Getty Images
