It has been a World Cup to remember on - and perhaps off - the pitch, as we look ahead to the final of the tournament this weekend.
Global superstars such as Jude Bellingham, Lionel Messi and Erling Haaland have stolen the limelight in North America this summer, with the strikers seemingly scoring at will. However, it sadly wasn’t quite the tournament that Scotland had hoped for, with a 3-0 defeat to Brazil sealing another group stage exit.
While attacking flair has taken precedence over defensive resilience at the World Cup so far, there are a number of teams thankful to their goalkeeper and defence for steering them into the latter stages of the competition. But which goalkeepers have been the most impressive at the tournament so far, and who is in line to take home the Golden Glove award? Who has performed best - and who has suffered?
With the tournament currently at last eight stage, we look at the 10 goalkeepers who have ranked highest at the World Cup 2026:

1. Gregor Kobel - Switzerland
The Borussia Dortmund goalkeeper has an average rating of 7.73, and has one of the best save percentages at the World Cup with 76.9 per cent. The highest rated goalkeeper at the tournament, he's had zero errors leading to a goal and was a penalty shootout hero in the win over Colombia at the last-16 stage. Paraguay's shootout hero in the penalty shootout win over Germany in the last-32, the 6ft 6in stopper was unable to prevent a last-16 exit against France, but ended the World Cup with an average rating of 7.67. Awarded man of the match twice at the tournament, saving 79.3 per cent of the 23 shots he's faced. He prevented 1.56 goals in the six games he played. | Getty Images Photo: Getty Images

4. Vozinha - Cape Verde
The 40-year-old will go down in World Cup legend for his outstanding performance in the 0-0 draw with Spain in the opening game, and he backed that up with two more strong displays in the group stages before a heart-breaking extra time exit against Argentina in the last-32. He ended the tournament with an average rating of 7.63, saving 78.3 per cent of shots he has faced, while preventing an average of 0.85 goals per game. | Getty Images Photo: Getty Images
