It has been a World Cup to remember on - and perhaps off - the pitch, as we look ahead to the final of the tournament this weekend.
Global superstars such as Jude Bellingham, Lionel Messi and Erling Haaland have stolen the limelight in North America this summer, with the strikers seemingly scoring at will. However, it sadly wasn’t quite the tournament that Scotland had hoped for, with a 3-0 defeat to Brazil sealing another group stage exit.
While attacking flair has taken precedence over defensive resilience at the World Cup so far, there are a number of teams thankful to their goalkeeper and defence for steering them into the latter stages of the competition. But which goalkeepers have been the most impressive at the tournament so far, and who is in line to take home the Golden Glove award? Who has performed best - and who has suffered?
With the tournament currently at last eight stage, we look at the 10 goalkeepers who have ranked highest at the World Cup 2026:

5. Unai Simon - Spain
Yet to concede a goal at the tournament, he's saved 90.9 per cent of the shots he's faced at the World Cup. Coupled with a 79.1 per cent passing accuracy rate, Simon has an average rating of 7.56. He is a strong favourite to win the Golden Glove, with odds of 1/10, heading into this weekend's final clash against Argentina in New Jersey. | Getty Images Photo: Getty Images

6. Mostafa Ahmed Shobeir - Egypt
The Egypt number one was knocked out at the last-16 stage by Argentina, but still has the highest average ratings at the tournament at 7.51. He saved two penalty, and made zero errors leading to a goal throughout his five games played. | Getty Images Photo: Getty Images

7. Angus Gunn - Scotland
While Scotland may have exited the tournament at the group stage, Gunn is still one of the best performing goalkeepers at the tournament with an average rating of 7.50. He prevented 1.52 goals in the three games he played, kept one clean sheet and made 70 successful passes across the group stage. | Getty Images Photo: Getty Images

8. Patrick Beach - Australia
Knocked out at the last-32 stage with the Socceroos, the 22-year-old goalkeeper had a strong debut World Cup. Keeping two clean sheets in his opening three games, he's saved 82.4 per cent of the shots he's faced, and prevented an impressive of 1.20 goals.
