Celtic will be forced to enter the transfer market this summer following the news that veteran goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel is facing up to a year out with a shoulder injury.
The 39-year-old stopper has missed the last month of action at Parkhead, and it has now been confirmed that he must undergo two surgeries to fix the problem. With his current deal set to expire in the summer, he has almost certainly played his final game for the club.
While Viljami Sinisalo has performed well in his absence and will feel like he can take the number one spot himself, it stands to reason that the Celtic hierarchy are likely to scour the transfer market this summer to at least boost their options in the goalkeeping department.
But which goalkeepers could they look at in order to plug the gap in their squad ahead of next season?
Here, The Scotsman we look at 10 goalkeepers Celtic could look to sign in order to replace Schmeichel this summer, including a double promotion winner and a wildcard option from across the pond:

1. Viktor Johansson - Stoke City
Consistently top for saves and goals prevented in the EFL Championship, the Swedish goalkeeper was linked with a move to West Ham United in the summer. 2. Martin Dubravka - Burnley
The Burnley number one was linked with a move to Celtic in the summer, but moved to Turf Moor instead. Despite his side's struggles in the top flight, the 36-year-old has performed well, making 108 saves this season (a league high). 3. Angus Gunn - Nottingham Forest
The Scotland goalkeeper has performed well for the national team, but struggled to get consistent minutes at club level with Nottingham Forest. Gunn was loosely linked to Celtic in January and is out of contract in the summer at the City Ground. | SNS Group Photo: SNS Group

4. Anthony Patterson - Sunderland
Currently on loan at Millwall, he was a regular in the Sunderland side that completed back-to-back promotions from EFL League One. Patterson made several eye-catching saves as Sunderland returned to the English Premier League with a 2-1 win over Sheffield United in last season's EFL Championship playoff final, but has since fallen to third choice. He was linked to Celtic in the summer of 2024 and could be a viable option in the summer.
