Celtic will be forced to enter the transfer market this summer following the news that veteran goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel is facing up to a year out with a shoulder injury.
The 39-year-old stopper has missed the last month of action at Parkhead, and it has now been confirmed that he must undergo two surgeries to fix the problem. With his current deal set to expire in the summer, he has almost certainly played his final game for the club.
While Viljami Sinisalo has performed well in his absence and will feel like he can take the number one spot himself, it stands to reason that the Celtic hierarchy are likely to scour the transfer market this summer to at least boost their options in the goalkeeping department.
But which goalkeepers could they look at in order to plug the gap in their squad ahead of next season?
Here, The Scotsman we look at 10 goalkeepers Celtic could look to sign in order to replace Schmeichel this summer, including a double promotion winner and a wildcard option from across the pond:

9. Stefan Ortega - Nottingham Forest
The German goalkeeper was strongly linked with a January move to Celtic prior to his switch to Nottingham Forest. However, his future remains unclear. Currently involved in a battle for survival, his contract at the City Ground ends in the summer. 10. Mathew Ryan - Levante
The Australian has a vast amount of experience, having played for Brighton, Arsenal, Lens, and AZ Alkmaar, amongst others. Capped over 100 times by the Socceroos, the 33-year-old is expected to captain his side at the World Cup this summer. Currently with Levante, his contract expires at the end of the season. | Getty Images Photo: Getty Images
