Daizen Maeda scored an early double as Celtic moved into the Premier Sports Cup quarter-finals with a 3-1 victory over Hibs.
Mykola Kuharevich pulled a goal back for Hibs before half-time, but the visitors paid the price for a poor attempt to play the ball out from the back as Nicolas Kuhn restored Celtic’s two-goal lead.
Maeda started up front as a stand-in striker after Japan team-mate Kyogo Furuhashi dropped out with the shoulder injury he suffered during Celtic’s 2-0 win over Hibs the previous weekend. Adam Idah started on the bench following his big-money move from Norwich.
We give each player a mark out of ten for their performance at Parkhead.

9. Cameron Carter-Vickers - 6
Picked up a booking for a needless barge on Mykola Kukharevych that led to the free-kick for Hibs goal, where he also seemed to get caught under the ball. Was the only blot on an otherwise perfect copy book. | SNS Group

10. Warren O'Hora - 5
No individual blame attached to any of Celtic's goals but was part of a Hibs defence that did not cope with the pace and movement of the home side's attacks. Was the only Hibs defender who looked comfortable with the ball at his feet. | SNS Group

11. Callum McGregor - 8
Another superb performance from the Celtic midfield machine. Not as spectacular as the previous week at Easter Road, but doesn't need to be scoring 25 yard worldies to make a valuable contribution. Controlled the game from the base of the midfield. | SNS Group

12. Rocky Bushiri - 4
Positionally all over the place in the first half. Started on the left of the back three but was constantly caught too high up the pitch. Appeared bamboozled by Celtic's movement and left big gaps on his side of the defence that Celtic were only too happy to exploit. | SNS Group
