It’s been nearly a year since Celebrity Traitors hit our television screens becoming one of the most talked-about shows of 2025.
Traitor Alan Carr schemed his way to a memorable victory after somehow outwitting an all-star cast featuring a host of famous faces including Stephen Fry, Celia Imrie, Jonathan Ross and Nick Mohammed.
Now the wait for new episodes is almost over, with series two launching on BBC One at 8pm on Thursday, October 1, and continuing for two weeks.
A total of 21 famous faces will be entering the Traitors Castle in Scotland hoping to win a big cash prize for their nominated charity, including the likes of Richard E. Grant, Ross Kemp, Bella Ramsey, James Blunt, Maya Jama, James Acaster and Michael Sheen.
As we wait to see how they all get on we’re taking a look back at the first series and the moments that made the headlines.
Here are our 10 favourites.

9. See ya, wouldn’t wanna be ya!
Comedian Lucy Beaumont became the first celebrity to be murdered 'face-to-face' on the show, summoned to a giant chessboard in in the dead of night for the deed to be done. As if it wasn't bad enough that best friend in the castle Cat Burns was one of the murderous Traitors, Jonathan Ross cemented his reputation as the most gleeful of baddies when he glibly saw her off by chuckling: "Bye, Lucy! 10. Celia's fart
If Celia Imrie wasn't already a national treasure (she was) then her status as such was sealed with a single fart. The scariness of the 'creepy cabin' task was too much for the beloved actress who, when asked "what just happened" by Claudia admitted: “I just farted. I’m so sorry. It’s nerves, but I always own up.” The series had its iconic moment that everybody was talking about, ultimately leading to her being gently mocked for breaking wind by Hollywood superstar Seth Rogen at the National Television Awards, who quipped: “I assume this woman in the green dress is a very skilled and talented woman, all I know is that she farted on a reality show. I am interested in your other work now, honestly. What else have you done?" | BBC Photo: BBC
