It’s been nearly a year since Celebrity Traitors hit our television screens becoming one of the most talked-about shows of 2025.
Traitor Alan Carr schemed his way to a memorable victory after somehow outwitting an all-star cast featuring a host of famous faces including Stephen Fry, Celia Imrie, Jonathan Ross and Nick Mohammed.
Now the wait for new episodes is almost over, with series two launching on BBC One at 8pm on Thursday, October 1, and continuing for two weeks.
A total of 21 famous faces will be entering the Traitors Castle in Scotland hoping to win a big cash prize for their nominated charity, including the likes of Richard E. Grant, Ross Kemp, Bella Ramsey, James Blunt, Maya Jama, James Acaster and Michael Sheen.
As we wait to see how they all get on we’re taking a look back at the first series and the moments that made the headlines.
Here are our 10 favourites.

5. Alan's uncomfortable crossing
It looked like Alan Carr was as likely to cross a rickety bridge during a challenge as he was to win the competition. Maybe when (after some serious struggles and a fair length of time) he managed the former we should have realised he was unbeatable. Dangling uncomfortably on the harness afterwards he delivered the memorable line: “God, my testicles. I feel like a winner and a eunuch.” | BBC

6. Nick's puzzling
'Ted Lasso' star Nick Mohammed quickly became a favourite with the viewers and was the most faithful of Faithfuls all the way to the final, where he fatally changed his mind and banished his bromance partner Joe Marler to ultimately let Alan Carr win all the money. The comedian was never short of a one-liner but his finest moment was when he was crowned a "puzzle ninja" by Kate Garraway. Presented with a head-scratching puzzle the contestants looked to noted brainbox Stephen Fry, before Mohammed casually identified it as “a basic Klotski puzzle” and solved it without breaking sweat. | BBC

7. Tom gives epic sideye
Has a simple glance ever gone viral as quickly as Olympic diver Tom Daley's eye-roll and side-eye towards television host Kate Garraway? Her crime was saying she was "flabbergasted" at Paloma Faith's murder - something Daley reckoned (wrongly) identified her as an overacting and insincere Traitor. Actual Traitor Alan Carr hilariously responded: "You can't just call someone a Traitor because they have a better vocabulary than you." | BBC

8. Broken Bonnar
Scottish actor Mark Bonnar was all-in on Celebrity Traitors, taking the game maybe a little too seriously leading to some 'passionate' speeches at the round-table votes. So it was tragically hilarious that he went out in the most unlucky of circumstances. He was tied on four votes in the banishment vote with historian David Olusoga so both were allowed to present their case before a second vote which, for the first time in British Traitors history, was also tied (five votes apiece). The tension became near-unbearable as they picked from two 'chests of chance'. Olusoga picked the one with the immunity shield and went on to be one terrible decision away from winning. Bonnar picked the empty casket and seemed slightly broken to be leaving in episode six. | Getty Images
