Greg James has officially crossed the finish line in Edinburgh, bringing his massive 1,000km tandem bike ride for Red Nose Day to an end.
After setting off from Weymouth last Friday (March 13), the Radio 1 Breakfast Show host has spent the last eight days in the saddle to raise money for Comic Relief. With more than £4 million raised so far, James has put his money where his mouth is during the gruelling challenge which has pushed him to his limit.
After reaching Galashiels in the Scottish Borders on Thursday (March 19) after cycling more than 150km in one day, the finish line was practically in sight.
Eager to arrive in Edinburgh, James set off at 5.40am so that he could reach Murrayfield Stadium where he was met by dozens of supporters cheering him on after the final 70km of his journey, before his typical radio show came to an end.
Now that Greg James’ Longest Ride has come to an end, here are 25 of the highlights from his journey, in pictures.
