For more than a decade the OVO Hydro has been playing host to a string of the world’s biggest musical talent, from Kylie Minogue to Taylor Swift
And since it’s first concert back in September 30, 2013, the venue has even been the location of landmark events like the MTV Music Video Awards and the Commonwealth Games, along with history-making comedy residences from the likes of Still Game and Kevin Bridges.
And the OVO Hydro isn’t just one of the most popular venues in Scotland, in 2019 it was named the second busiest venue in the world behind Madison Square Garden in New York.
And with so many events lined up in the coming months - from Iron Maiden to Sabrina Carpenter - more than one million people buy tickets for shows at the Hydro each year, bringing huge amounts of money to Glasgow and the Finnieston area.
With the venue now celebrating its eleventh birthday, here are 13 of the biggest names to have played at Glasgow’s OVO Hydro.

9. Adele
English singer Adele was arguably at the peak of her powers when she played two nights at the Glasgow Hydro in March 2016. She's just released third album '25', featuring the single 'Hello' which shifted a million copies in just a week. The star is now taking an extended break from touring. | Getty Images

10. Lana Del Rey
Those who were at Lana Del Rey's concert at the Hydro in August 2017 might not have realised how lucky they were at the time. It's one of the few shows the American star has ever played in the UK - with the most recent being at Reading & Leeds Festival 2024. | Getty Images

11. Lewis Capaldi
Hometown hero Lewis Capaldi played to an ecstatic sold out audience at the Hydro in March 2020. The gig will live long in the memories of those who were there - given that it was one of the last to be played in the city before the live entertainment industry was shut down by the global pandemic. | Getty Images

12. Billie Eilish
Scottish fans got a sneak preview of Billie Eilish's Glastonbury headliner set when she played the Hydro in June 2022 as part of her 'Happier Than Ever' tour. Queues started the day before, while security were kept busy by audience members fainting. Just a couple of weeks later she would become the youngest artist ever to top the bill at Worthy Farm and she has two huge Hydro shows planned for 2025. | Getty Images for ABA
