The inaugural edition of international rugby’s latest competition gets underway this weekend with the Nations Championship kicking off.
Six matches will be played this Saturday with Argentina vs Scotland in Cordoba the final fixture of what looks set to be a thrilling first round. Gregor Townsend has some big selection calls to make in his team with a handful of recent regular starters unavailable for selection.
The likes of Grant Gilchrist, Huw Jones and Blair Kinghorn are not in the squad for various reasons but that could open the door for others to really cement themselves in their respective positions. Here is our predicted Scotland XV to take on Los Pumas:

13. Stafford McDowall
Huw Jones' absence opens up a selection question at outside centre but McDowall was keeping him out of the Glasgow team on form anyway so seems like the obvious choice. Rory Hutchinson was an ever present for Gallagher Prem winners Northampton Saints last season and could also be selected but he played most of his rugby last season at inside centre rather than 13 | SNS Group

14. Darcy Graham
Scotland's all time leading try scorer is the man they simply have to get the ball in the hands of at every opportunity as he is always liable to do something special | SNS Group / SRU

15. Tom Jordan
No Blair Kinghorn in the squad who is rested after a long season with French champions Toulouse so expect Jordan, despite playing his season at 10 with Bristol Bears, to deputise in the 15 jersey throughout | SNS Group / SRU
