The inaugural edition of international rugby’s latest competition gets underway this weekend with the Nations Championship kicking off.
Six matches will be played this Saturday with Argentina vs Scotland in Cordoba the final fixture of what looks set to be a thrilling first round. Gregor Townsend has some big selection calls to make in his team with a handful of recent regular starters unavailable for selection.
The likes of Grant Gilchrist, Huw Jones and Blair Kinghorn are not in the squad for various reasons but that could open the door for others to really cement themselves in their respective positions. Here is our predicted Scotland XV to take on Los Pumas:

9. Ben White
Scotland have two very different but very effective options at scrum half in White and George Horne while Jamie Dobie will also be under consideration. The Toulon man is the first choice as things stand but we could see things shaken up a bit over the next three Test matches | SNS Group

10. Finn Russell
Rapidly approaching 100 caps which he should reach in the Autumn, barring any injuries. As ever, whether or not Scotland play well often depends on whether or not he plays well | SNS Group / SRU

11. Kyle Steyn
Arguably the first name on the team sheet at the moment. His aerial ability in the modern kicking game puts the Glasgow skipper amongst the very best wingers in the world | SNS Group

12. Sione Tuipulotu
The Scotland captain will be crucial this summer particularly in the first two tests against Argentina and South Africa which will undoubtedly be physical contests | SNS Group
