Glasgow Warriors let the chance to secure a first ever Champions Cup semi final slip from their grasp as they wen’t down 19-22 to a resilient Toulon side at Scotstoun.
The French outfit now progress to the last four while the dream is over for Franco Smith’s side who may very well look back on this with no small amount of regrets. Their attention now must turn fully back to the URC where they sit top of the table and still have a real chance at glory.
Here are The Scotsman’s player ratings for the Glasgow Warriors men from their home quarter final defeat:

13. Stafford McDowall - 8
Didn't deserve to be on the losing side as he hardly put a foot wrong all game and was lethal in attack including a superb pass for Glasgow's second try | SNS Group

14. Kyle Steyn - 6
Played an important role defensively but the conditions didn't play to his aerial strengths as the ball stayed largely in hand throughout | SNS Group

15. Josh McKay - 6
Offered himself well in attack and was a threat but struggled to really get involved when it counted | AFP via Getty Images

16. Replacements
Hastings added zip to Glasgow's attack in the early stages of the second half but failed to see the game out after a HIA (4). Front row replacements came on at once and were strong in the scrum and loose (6). Ferrie and Fraser slotted in fine but line-out was less consistent after their introductions (3). | SNS Group
