Glasgow Warriors let the chance to secure a first ever Champions Cup semi final slip from their grasp as they wen’t down 19-22 to a resilient Toulon side at Scotstoun.
The French outfit now progress to the last four while the dream is over for Franco Smith’s side who may very well look back on this with no small amount of regrets. Their attention now must turn fully back to the URC where they sit top of the table and still have a real chance at glory.
Here are The Scotsman’s player ratings for the Glasgow Warriors men from their home quarter final defeat:

9. Ben Afshar - 6
Kept the play quick when it needed to be but struggled to make an impact in attack | SNS Group

10. Dan Lancaster - 5
A stop start afternoon for the stand-off who was hooked at half time after a poor first 40 and then brought back on twice after HIAs for Steyn and Hastings | SNS Group

11. Ollie Smith - 7
Took his try well and got stuck in but often struggled to get past a resilient Toulon back line | SNS Group

12. Sione Tuipulotu - 7
Unsurprisingly the biggest threat with ball in hand as he beat defender after defender and made more than his fair share of meters | Getty Images
