How to watch the Scottish Premiership relegation playoff between Partick Thistle and St Mirren on Thursday.
Partick Thistle will look to make home advantage count as they welcome St Mirren to Firhill for the first leg of the Scottish Premiership relegation playoff on Thursday night.
Looking to return to the top flight for the first time in eight years, Marc Wilson’s side enter the clash on the back of a 3-2 aggregate win over Dunfermline Athletic in the playoff semi-finals last week, and will be targeting a first leg lead ahead of next weekend’s crucial return fixture in Paisley on Monday.
Visitors St Mirren enter the game with confidence fragile, having dropped into the dreaded relegation playoff spot in the last few weeks following a run of just one win in their final six league games. Ahead of the game, interim boss Craig McLeish has urged his players to ensure they preserve their legendary status by avoiding relegation to the Championship.
“We want this season to be remembered for winning the cup [vs Celtic in December],” said McLeish. “These players deserve to be legends of the club. Now that’s my responsibility, our responsibility as a group, to be able to look back on the season with that positive outlook on it. It’s not a situation we want to be in right now as a club, but we have to handle it”
