What an incredible Scottish Premiership season that was. A title race for the ages, twists and turns aplenty and drama right up until the end.
Hearts so cruelly denied a first title win since 1960 in the final three minutes of the campaign as Celtic, crisis-ridden during the campaign, were crowned champions of Scotland for a fifth successive - and record - 56th time.
Motherwell, revitalised under the outstanding management of Jens Berthel-Askou, are back in Europe after finishing fourth, while Falkirk’s top-half finish showed that they are truly back amongst the back boys after years in the lower league wilderness.
Rangers showed promise at times, but find themselves well off the pace after a disastrous start and end to the campaign, meaning it is back to the drawing board for chairman Andrew Cavenagh, who has vowed to keep faith with head coach Danny Rohl.
But who was each side’s best player this season? Here, we look at all 12 Scottish Premiership teams and pick their star player for the 2025/26 campaign:

5. Falkirk - Calvin Miller
In a Falkirk team that has performed so admirably on its return to the top flight, Miller has been the standout. Creating more chances than 81 per cent of other wingers in the league, the 28-year-old has scored seven goals and assisted a further nine. Another mentioned as a potential Scotland World Cup candidate, it is a testament to how good his season has been at the Falkirk Stadium. | SNS Group

6. Hearts - Claudio Braga
While teammates Lawrence Shankland, Cammy Devlin and Harry Milne all have a claim for being Hearts' standout performer, Braga's impact on Tynecastle can't be denied. A winner of several player of the season awards, the Portuguese striker came within a whisker of winning the title, which would have topped off a perfect debut campaign in Scotland for him. Scored 14 goals and assisted three more, while his tireless work rate meant he created more chances for his team than 91 per cent of other strikers in the division. A cult hero in Gorgie. | SNS Group

7. Hibs - Jamie McGrath
It's been an inconsistent season in Easter Road, and many Hibs fans are unsure how they feel about it at the moment. One of their more consistent performers has been that of McGrath, though. Provided 12 goal contributions from midfield, and created an impressive 51 chances for his side as they finished in fifth position. That said, Josh Mulligan may well have claimed this spot without an injury-hit second half of the campaign. | SNS Group

8. Kilmarnock - Findlay Curtis
He may not have arrived at Rugby Park until February, but his impact on Kilmarnock can not be understated. Looking down and out about the arrival of Neil McCann, the on-loan Rangers man's seven-goal contributions in just 14 appearances helped them stave off the threat of relegation after a torrid first half of the campaign. Earned a Scotland cap in the process, and hopes to be on the plane to the World Cup this summer. | SNS Group
