After disposing of Cyprus on Friday night with a comfortable 3-0 victory, there can be no doubt that Tuesday’s mouthwatering clash with England at a sold out Hampden Park is one fans are sure to cherish.
Billed as a friendly, there is no doubt in the mind of either team's fans that the clash between the Auld Enemy means a whole load more.
Six years on from the last time they faced each other in the Hampden sun, memories of that breathtaking 2-2 draw with Gareth Southgate's England in the southside of Glasgow are flooding back into the minds of the Tartan Army as they look to defeat the Three Lions for the first time since 1999.
While Harry Kane ensured it wasn't quite the perfect day, few can argue that those short few minutes that saw Leigh Griffiths smash in two unforgettable late free kicks were three of the most savoured moments in Scotland football history.
But what happened to the starting XI (and three substitutes!) that appeared at Hampden that day?

9. Stuart Armstrong
Still a regular in the Scotland set up, Stuart Armstrong moved to the Premier League a year after the classic match at Hampden. Signing for Southampton where he has remained ever since having stayed with them following their relegation last summer. | Getty Images

10. Robert Snodgrass
The former Livingston midfielder retired from international football two years later while on the books of West Ham United. He went on to represent Aston Villa, West Bromich Albion and Luton Town before returning to the Scottish Premier League last season with Hearts. However, an alleged fall out with Steven Naismith saw his contract mutually terminated and he is still currently a free agent. | Getty Images

11. Leigh Griffiths
The star of the show with two superb free kicks in the Hampden sun, Griffiths career came off the rails shortly afterwards. He did score a further two goals for the national team that year, hitting the target against Malta and Slovenia, while he also scored from the spot in the Tartan Army's memorable play off win over Serbia that saw them qualify for Euro 2020. Currently turning out for Australian club Mandurah City after disappointing spells at Dundee and Falkirk. Was fined earlier this week after admitting to kicking a flare at a fan while at Dundee. | Getty Images

12. Chris Martin
A 51st minute sub for Scotland in the 2-2 draw with England, Martin is currently a free agent having been released by Queens Park Rangers in the summer. Also had spells with Hull City, Reading and Bristol City. He last appeared for Scotland in 2017. | Getty Images
