After disposing of Cyprus on Friday night with a comfortable 3-0 victory, there can be no doubt that Tuesday’s mouthwatering clash with England at a sold out Hampden Park is one fans are sure to cherish.
Billed as a friendly, there is no doubt in the mind of either team's fans that the clash between the Auld Enemy means a whole load more.
Six years on from the last time they faced each other in the Hampden sun, memories of that breathtaking 2-2 draw with Gareth Southgate's England in the southside of Glasgow are flooding back into the minds of the Tartan Army as they look to defeat the Three Lions for the first time since 1999.
While Harry Kane ensured it wasn't quite the perfect day, few can argue that those short few minutes that saw Leigh Griffiths smash in two unforgettable late free kicks were three of the most savoured moments in Scotland football history.
But what happened to the starting XI (and three substitutes!) that appeared at Hampden that day?

5. Ikechi Anya
A Scotland cult hero was Ikechi Anya. Now 35, the former Watford winger is retired from the game after seeing out the final days of his career at Derby County struggling with a number of niggling injuries. Capped 29 times by Scotland, he scored a memorable goal against Germany in 2014 that he jokingly admitted he even "struggled to do on FIFA." | Getty Images

6. Andy Robertson
Little has changed for Scotland captain Andy Robertson. Still very much heralded as Scotland's most important player, he captained them to qualification to a major tournament for the first time since 1998 when Scotland made it all the way to Euro 2020 and is still very much seen as one of the best left backs in world football. | SNS Group Photo: Craig Williamson - SNS Group

The former Celtic icon was in the engine room on that famous afternoon at Hampden Park. He would spend a further three seasons at Celtic before moving to Aberdeen in a player-coach role. He was given the manager's job at English League Two side Fleetwood Town but was sacked earlier this week after starting the season without a win in six. | Getty Images

8. James Morrison
