How to watch Rangers v St Mirren

Rangers will look to continue building momentum ahead of the Old Firm double-header when they host St Mirren for the second time this season on Wednesday night.

The sides meet again at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership less than a month after Rangers claimed their first win under Derek McInnes with a 5-1 victory in the Premier Sports Cup last 16.

Previously postponed due to the club’s involvement in European qualifiers, Rangers will look to make it four league wins in a row after claiming narrow one-goal victories over Aberdeen, Falkirk and Motherwell.

Rangers and McInnes are recovering from a poor start to the season that saw them eliminated from Europe and fall five points behind leaders Celtic in the early stages of the title race.

Maintain a positive trajectory is vital ahead of Sunday’s Premier Sports Cup quarter-final against Celtic at Ibrox, which will be followed by the Premiership derby clash at Celtic Park seven days later.

St Mirren, meanwhile, fell to a first league defeat of the season on Saturday, going down 2-1 to Celtic in Paisley. However, the Buddies gave another good account of themselves in what has been an impressive start to the campaign under Craig McLeish.

They have taken 10 points from a possible 15 and sit third in the table, one place above Rangers on goal difference.
