Rangers World Cup star addresses transfer speculation amid contact with departed boss
Midfielder quizzed on Ibrox future as speculation grows
Rangers midfielder Nicolas Raskin has revealed he is leaving the uncertainty surrounding his future in the hands of his agents while on World Cup duty with Belgium.
Raskin came off the bench to make his World Cup debut against Egypt in Seattle on Monday and helped Belgium fight back from a goal down to earn a 1-1 draw in the Group G clash.
His effective cameo on his 14th cap has only added fuel to ongoing speculation that he will depart Ibrox this summer with several clubs believed to be monitoring the 25-year-old's performances at the tournament.
Raskin is under contract at Rangers until 2028 and is expected to command a fee in the region of £20million. He has been linked with Serie A side Atalanta this week but insists he is currently putting his future on hold as he focuses solely on the World Cup.

Asked about a possible move this summer, Raskin said: “I’m not thinking about that right now. I’m not occupied with that at the moment.
“I leave that to those who represent me in Belgium and I’m focused on what’s happening here. I am not concerned with a possible transfer, nor with the amount of a future transfer fee. I leave all that to my agents.
“Of course, it’s always good to come and get some minutes at the World Cup is a moment to showcase yourself.
“But right now, we’ve put club life on hold to concentrate 100 per cent on what is happening here and trying to do the best for Belgium.”
Raskin sent a message of thanks to outgoing Rangers head coach Danny Rohl following his move to Red Bull Salzburg. "Thank you for everything gaffer," it read. "It's been a real pleasure to work with you," alongside blue heart and praying hands emojis.
He revealed, however, that he has has yet to speak with Rohl’s replacement at Rangers, the former Hearts boss Derek McInnes.
“No, not yet," he said when asked. "I’ve seen a little bit of what’s going on. I’ve had contact with the outgoing coach but I haven’t gathered any more information beyond that.”
