Rangers exit confirmed with parting message as EPL side announce arrival of Ibrox centurion
33-year-old bids farewell to Ibrox after 157 appearances
Goalkeeper Jack Butland sent a parting message to Rangers after completing his move to Hull City.
The 33-year-old has joined the Premier League newcomers in a £3million transfer, less than 48 hours after Croatia goalkeeper Ivor Pandur moved in the opposite direction for £6m.
The nine-times capped England goalkeeper, who made 157 appearances for Rangers after arriving as a free agent in 2023 following his release by Crystal Palace, has signed a two-year deal with the Tigers, with a club option of a further year.

Butland lifted just one trophy during his time at Ibrox - the Scottish League Cup in 2023-24 - and also collected both Player and Players’ Player of the Year awards in his first season with the club.
He now joins a Hull side who are back in the English top flight after a nine-year absence following their 1-0 victory over Middlesbrough in the Championship play-off final at Wembley last month.
Butland told the Hull website: “I’m delighted it’s all sorted now and I’m really excited to be here. It’s a great challenge and a fantastic season to look forward to. The challenge is obvious but an exciting one.
“The Premier League is the best league in the world and, personally, it’s a great opportunity to be on the biggest stage again. I believe it’s the level I’m capable of playing at, and I’ve done it before.
“As a club, we’ve got a great challenge back in the Premier League, not just to stay in the league but to really enjoy it and do as well as we can.
“I’ve already had some chats with the goalie coach (Erbil Bozkurt); he seems like a great guy and I’ve heard great things about him, which is really important to my time here.
“It can’t come quickly enough. I’m really looking forward to seeing the fans in a really exciting season for us as a club.”
Addressing his Rangers exit, Butland added: “The last few years playing at an incredible club like Rangers, somewhere I hold close to my heart, meant it had to be something really enticing to change that.
“The European nights and all the experience I gained up in Scotland, and my experience prior to that, are going to set me up perfectly for the challenge ahead this year.”
Rangers issued a statement confirming Butland’s departure which read: “Everyone at Rangers thanks Jack for all his contributions and wishes him all the very best for the future.”
