Scotland’s near three-decade exile from the World Cup was finally brought to an end last month when a breath-taking 4-2 victory over Denmark at Hampden sealed their place at next summer’s tournament in the USA, Mexico, and Canada.
Placed in pot 3 of Friday’s draw for the competition, the Tartan Army can not wait to discover which opponents they’ll be drawn against in the biggest World Cup of all time, with the draw at the Kennedy Center in the American capital of Washington DC, now just hours away.
With Scotland based in any of 16 host cities over three different countries, thousands of supporters are getting ready to book their flights and accommodation for the tournament, with SkyScanner likely to take a bit of a hammering over the next few days.
A few tipples are likely to be on the agenda, so here at The Scotsman, we’ve decided to rank each host city at the World Cup 2026 based on their average price for a pre-match pint.
