Scotland have kicked off their World Cup campaign with a narrow 1-0 win over Haiti in Group C
John McGinn scored what proved to be the winning goal on 28 minutes when his effort from a Che Adams rebound was deflected home.
Thousands of Scotland fans were inside the Boston Stadium in Foxborough to witness the nation’s first win on the global stage since 1990, when they overcame Sweden 2-1 in Genoa.
They were made to work by a stubborn Haiti side that pushed the Scots all the way to the end, but a strong defensive performance saw them through.
Scotland sit top of the group after the opening round of fixtures after Brazil and Scotland drew 1-1 earlier in the day.
The next match for Scotland is against Morocco, also in Foxborough, on Friday night before facing Brazil in Miami on Wednesday, June 24.
Here are our player ratings from Scotland 1-0 Haiti.

9. John McGinn
Ended a 28-year wait for Scotland goalscorer at the World Cup with his opener. Timed his run well to meet a rebound - although it needed a deflection to go in. Ought to have scored a second but dragged a shot wide. Replaced by McLean towards end. 8 | PA

10. Lawrence Shankland
Worked his socks off, but never saw a proper sight of goal - a frustration given how good form he has been in recently. Probably dropped to deep for his liking. 6 | AFP via Getty Images

11. Che Adams
Always prepared to run the channels and that was shown with the McGinn goal. He took a long ball down so well and linked the play. Emptied the tank and was replaced by Dykes. 7 | AFP via Getty Images

12. Ryan Christie
Can count himself a little unfortunate not to start. Came on as Scotland clung on to their victory. 4 | PA
