Scotland are on the lookout for their next manager after Steve Clarke’s surprise decision to resign from his role as head coach after the team’s elimination from the World Cup.
Despite signing a four-year contract on the eve of the tournament, the 62-year-old opted to leave for pastures new after a failure to lead Scotland out of the group stages for the third consecutive tournament.
The first manager to take Scotland to three major tournaments, Euro 2020, Euro 2024 and this summer’s World Cup, his side were magnificent in the qualifying stages but struggled to replicate it in North America before officially exiting the tournament at the weekend.
So who is the early favourite to succeed Clarke as Scotland’s manager? Here are the latest odds*.

5. Antoine Kombouare - 18/1

6. Derek McInnes - 16/1
Had he not taken the Rangers job recently, he may have been higher up this list. However, an immediate departure from his boyhood club seems extremely unlikely - even if it is the Scotland job he'd be leaving for. | Photo by Steve Welsh/PA Wire Photo: Photo by Steve Welsh/PA Wire

7. David Gray - 16/1

8. Martin O'Neill - 16/1
From one Celtic that link that makes sense, to one that really doesn't. The 74-year-old boss has just penned a new deal at Parkhead and is hugely unlikely to manage anyone else, let alone Scotland. Alas, he's somehow in the betting odds. | NEWSLETTER Photo: NEWSLETTER
