Scotland’s long wait to qualify for the World Cup was finally ended with that famous win against Denmark in November, and the excitement is beginning to ramp up as fans count down the days until the tournament begins in June.
A huge part of each major football competition comes when the nation’s new kits are released, and, for the first time since 1998, Scotland have a new away kit that looks the part heading into their Group C games against Haiti, Morocco, and Brazil in the United States this summer.
The colour has caused some debate - is it salmon pink or Irn Bru orange? Either way, Steve Clarke’s boys will don the jersey for the very first time when Japan visit Hampden Park this weekend in their first pre-World Cup friendly.
The Adidas design is one of Scotland’s best in years, but is it the best ever? Here, we rank Scotland’s best away kits of all time, from 10-1. Do you agree with our picks?

1. 1995/96
One of those Scotland jerseys that is so well remembered due to its brave and bright design, it can still be purchased in shops across the country as a retro jersey. Best remembered for being worn when John Collins ran the length of the pitch against San Marino, before rounding the goalkeeper and scoring. 2. World Cup 1986
Made famous by the likes of Gordon Strachan and Richard Gough, the yellow Umbro design has been remade as a retro kit in recent years and is often seen amongst a wave of navy kits when the Tartan Army are in town. The shorts were wonderfully 80s, too. | SNS Group 0141 221 3602 Photo: SNS Group

3. Women's World Cup 2019
Sadly tarred with the brush of heartache, this striking pink number remains popular with fans of the national team. Specially designed to mark Scotland's participation at the Women's World Cup in 2019, it's one of the more rarer Scotland shirts to find in modern day, despite being less than 10 years old. | AFP via Getty Images Photo: Getty Images

4. McFadden 2007
Every generation has a moment they'll never forget, and for many Scots, it is James McFadden's goal against France that sealed a famous 1-0 win in Paris. Viewed by many as the country's greatest ever goal (Scott McTominay might want a word now, though), the Diadora kit he wore that night became instantly famous the minute his shot hit the net. We're not huge fans of the design, but it's impossible not to include this one due to the memories alone. | SNS Group 0141 221 3602 Photo: SNS Group
