Scotland’s long wait to qualify for the World Cup was finally ended with that famous win against Denmark in November, and the excitement is beginning to ramp up as fans count down the days until the tournament begins in June.
A huge part of each major football competition comes when the nation’s new kits are released, and, for the first time since 1998, Scotland have a new away kit that looks the part heading into their Group C games against Haiti, Morocco, and Brazil in the United States this summer.
The colour has caused some debate - is it salmon pink or Irn Bru orange? Either way, Steve Clarke’s boys will don the jersey for the very first time when Japan visit Hampden Park this weekend in their first pre-World Cup friendly.
The Adidas design is one of Scotland’s best in years, but is it the best ever? Here, we rank Scotland’s best away kits of all time, from 10-1. Do you agree with our picks?

9. World Cup 1982
One of the all-time best Scotland away kits, in our opinion. The badge stands out, the collar is smart, and there is that navy trim on the sleeves. It's a simple design, but one that truly stood the test of time. Made famous by Kenny Dalglish, who bagged his 24th international goal in the kit against Israel as Jock Stein’s side topped their group to qualify for the World Cup finals in Spain in 1982. | SNS Group 0141 221 3602 Photo: SNS Group

10. World Cup 1998
And finally, our winner. The yellow and navy Umbro number Scotland wore at their last World Cup in 1998. Made famous by Craig Burley, Gordon Durie and Gary McAllister, it had everything. The button-up collar, complete with the little Scotland flag. The red piping just makes the navy and yellow pop even more, too. It may not be associated with the best memories, but this is our number one. Iconic. | SNS Group 0141 221 3602 Photo: SNS Group
