Scotland return to action for the first time this year as they face a friendly double-header against Japan and the Ivory Coast ahead of their participation in this summer’s World Cup.
With key names such as Lawrence Shankland, Craig Gordon and Ben Gannon-Doak ruled out of the March friendlies, Rangers’ teenage talent Findlay Curtis has been drafted into the squad by Steve Clarke following some impressive performances on loan at Kilmarnock in the last month.
One of only two players in Clarke’s squad under the age of 20, the teenager joins an increasing list of Scotland’s most promising young talents to be offered a shot by the 62-year-old national team boss. But which youngster will be the next to break into the Scotland senior side?
Here are the 10 players we’re tipping to follow in the footsteps of Curtis and make it into the Scotland senior squad in the months - and years - to come:

1. David Watson - Kilmarnock
Captain of the Scotland Under-21s side, Watson won the SWFA Young Player of the Year award in 2023. His contract is up at Kilmarnock this summer and the talented midfielder has been linked with a potential move to Celtic. Compared to Bologna midfielder Lewis Ferguson by his former manager Derek McInnes due to his high-energy, all-action style of play. | SNS Group

2. Adedire Mebude - Rizespor
The pacey winger has been a mainstay in the Scotland youth setup for several years, but has shown real signs of progress since making a move to Rizespor from Westerlo in January. Still just 21, Mebude has three goal contributions in four starts for his new club and he has received praise for his immediate impact in the Turkish top flight. | SNS Group

3. Luke Graham - Dundee
The versatile 22-year-old defender is a hot property after his impressive season at Dens Park. Heavily linked with a move to the EFL Championship in January, he's also reportedly on the radar of both Celtic and Rangers. A future star, Graham is someone who many have tipped to be a future Scotland international. | SNS Group

4. Robbie Ure - IK Sirius
Tipped by some for a potential call-up to the Scotland senior squad, the 22-year-old striker's 11 goals for IK Sirius in the Swedish top flight have not gone unnoticed. He is also eligible to play for Ukraine via his grandfather, though, and some are urging Steve Clarke to secure Ure's international future by capping him at senior level. | SNS Group
