Scotland’s return to action for the first time since their World Cup exit this summer as they begin a new era under Belgian head coach Sebastien Pocognoli against Slovenia this weekend.
The 39-year-old has certainly shook things up in the Scotland squad, naming several young, uncapped talents such as Robbie Ure, Luke Graham and Colby Donovan, with Nations League clashes against Slovenia, Switzerland and North Macedonia on the horizon.
One of the youngest Scotland squad for some time, stalwarts such as Grant Hanley, Lyndon Dykes and Che Adams were all left out, while Kenny McLean and Kieran Tierney were forced to pull out through injury. But with Pocognoli keeping close tabs on Scotland’s younger generation, who will be the next talent to break into the Scotland senior side?
Here are the 10 players we’re tipping to follow in the footsteps of Sevilla hitman Ure, and make it into the Scotland senior squad in the months - and years - to come:

9. Daniel Kelly - Millwall
The 20-year-old midfielder left Celtic to sign for Millwall last summer for a reported fee of £400,000, but struggled to break into the team at The Den upon his arrival. However, Kelly has now become a more regular feature for Alex Neil's side and is beginning to show why the London club were desperate to nab him from Glasgow last summer. 10. Fletcher Boyd - Aston Villa
The Scotland youth international was signed for a reported fee of £1million by Aston Villa from Aberdeen in the summer, and has already caught the attention of their fans after some eye-catching performances for their academy teams. He exploded onto the scene as a 16-year-old when he bagged a late goal in Aberdeen's 4-0 win over Hibs two years ago, and the 18-year-old will be one to watch over the next few years. | SNS Group / SFA Photo: SNS Group / SFA
