Scotland’s return to action for the first time since their World Cup exit this summer as they begin a new era under Belgian head coach Sebastien Pocognoli against Slovenia this weekend.
The 39-year-old has certainly shook things up in the Scotland squad, naming several young, uncapped talents such as Robbie Ure, Luke Graham and Colby Donovan, with Nations League clashes against Slovenia, Switzerland and North Macedonia on the horizon.
One of the youngest Scotland squad for some time, stalwarts such as Grant Hanley, Lyndon Dykes and Che Adams were all left out, while Kenny McLean and Kieran Tierney were forced to pull out through injury. But with Pocognoli keeping close tabs on Scotland’s younger generation, who will be the next talent to break into the Scotland senior side?
Here are the 10 players we’re tipping to follow in the footsteps of Sevilla hitman Ure, and make it into the Scotland senior squad in the months - and years - to come:

5. Evan Mooney - Arsenal
The attacker caught the attention of English Premier League champions Arsenal when he broke into the St Mirren team aged just 16. He was snapped up by English Premier League giants in January, having made 23 senior appearances in Paisley. Viewed as a player with a big future, he scored a goal from the halfway line on his Arsenal debut and has been a regular starter in their Under-21 side ever since his arrival. | SNS Group Photo: SNS Group

6. Daniel Armer - Manchester United
The 18-year-old left-sided centre-back still needs to develop physically, but is one to keep an eye on after his eye-catching performances for Manchester United during pre-season. Capped twice by the Scotland Under-19 team, he'll be aiming to progress into senior football with his club side over the coming months, which could eventually lead him to senior international action in the years to come. | Getty Images

7. Ryan One - Sheffield United
The physically imposing striker will be disappointed that an injury has disrupted his season so far, after a strong end to the last campaign on loan at Lincoln City, where he helped them achieve promotion to the EFL Championship. Already part of the Under-21 setup, the former Hamilton youth will hope to follow in the footsteps of Robbie Ure and James Wilson by courting senior international recognition in the months to come. | Sportimage Photo: Sportimage

8. Callan Hamill - Arsenal
Having emerged from the St Johnstone academy, the right-back made his first-team debut at McDiarmid Park as a 16-year-old. Almost instantly snapped up by Arsenal, Hamill has already captained the Gunners' and Scotland's youth teams.
