Hearts squad underwent serious turnover in the summer, with 13 new first-team players arriving at Tynecastle, and several big-name players departing.
Lawrence Shankland, Alexandros Kyziridis and Alexander Schwolow all left for pastures new, while youngsters Liam McFarlane, MJ Kamson-Kamara and Adam Forrester completed loan exits as they looked for more senior experience.
Replacing former manager Derek McInnes after his move to Rangers in the summer, new head coach Wouter Vrancken endured a difficult start to the season, but has steadied the ship in the recent weeks and will go within two points of league leaders Celtic if they can topple the Glasgow giants at Parkhead next week.
Josh McPake, Calvin Miller and Laurent Mendy have all shone over the opening months of the season, as Hearts look to show they have what it takes to hang at the top of the Scottish Premiership on a permanent basis. But what has happened to those that have left?
Here we look at the 15 Hearts players who moved away from the club before the start of the new campaign, and assess how they have done for their new teams in the opening months of the season. Who has found success away from Tynecastle - and who regrets their decision to leave?
