Celtic have endured a turbulent campaign so far, but are finally back on the up after the re-appointment of veteran manager Martin O’Neill in January.
The 73-year-old has been drafted in to save the club twice, firstly as an interim replacement for Brendan Rodgers, before he returned to the helm when the appointment of Wilfried Nancy went pear-shaped at the turn of the year.
After taking the reins until the end of the campaign, he recruited Tomas Cvancara, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Junior Adamu, Joel Mvuka, and Benjamin Arthur in the winter transfer window and is now within three points of the Scottish Premiership summit. The arrival of those new faces meant that several players departed the club in the January window, with Tobi Oluwayemi, Stephen Welsh, and Johnny Kenny all completing exits in the last month.
Here we look at the 13 Celtic players who are currently on loan away from the club, and assess how they have done for their new teams this season. Who has impressed away from Parkhead - and who is perhaps regretting their decision to leave?

5. Luis Palma - Lech Poznan
The Honduran had a strong debut season at Celtic Park before falling out of favour under ex-head coach Brendan Rodgers, ending last season on loan to Olympiacos in the Greek Super League. He made a shock move to the Polish top flight in the summer, but it has paid dividends for him, with Palma registering four goals and four assists in his first 18 games at the Enea Stadium. | AFP via Getty Images

6. Shin Yamada - Preussen Munster
Struggled to make an impact at Celtic following his summer move from the J-League, and was farmed out on loan to the German second-tier. He has made just two substitute appearances, and is yet to make a telling contribution for his new side, who are second bottom of the table and facing relegation. | SNS Group

7. Johnny Kenny - Bolton Wanderers
A regular feature in the Celtic matchday squad during the opening month of the campaign, the Irish striker moved to EFL League One in January in search of more first-team exposure. Made his debut for the Trotters in the 1-1 draw with Lincoln City at the weekend after recovering from an injury he picked up against Bologna in the Europa League whilst playing for his parent club. | SNS Group

8. Josh Clarke - Partick Thistle
The 21-year-old stopper has been a key player in Partick Thistle's quest for promotion to the Scottish Premiership. Has kept seven clean sheets for the club this season, saved 50% of his penalties faced, and made zero errors that have led to a goal. Linked with a permanent move to Maryhill in January. | SNS Group
