Celtic have endured a turbulent campaign so far, but are finally back on the up after the re-appointment of veteran manager Martin O’Neill in January.
The 73-year-old has been drafted in to save the club twice, firstly as an interim replacement for Brendan Rodgers, before he returned to the helm when the appointment of Wilfried Nancy went pear-shaped at the turn of the year.
After taking the reins until the end of the campaign, he recruited Tomas Cvancara, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Junior Adamu, Joel Mvuka, and Benjamin Arthur in the winter transfer window and is now within three points of the Scottish Premiership summit. The arrival of those new faces meant that several players departed the club in the January window, with Tobi Oluwayemi, Stephen Welsh, and Johnny Kenny all completing exits in the last month.
Here we look at the 13 Celtic players who are currently on loan away from the club, and assess how they have done for their new teams this season. Who has impressed away from Parkhead - and who is perhaps regretting their decision to leave?

13. Stephen Welsh - Motherwell
Having returned to Celtic temporarily last month, the 25-year-old centre-back has now re-joined Motherwell and has picked up where he left off at Fir Park. Lauded for his impressive performances in a Jens Berthel Askou side that are on course for a top four finish, Welsh could make a permanent move to the 'Well in the summer. | SNS Group
