Scotland boss Steve Clarke handed maiden call ups to the trio of Lennon Miller, James Wilson and George Hirst during the last international camp, with the latter two getting on the pitch during the Nations League play-off clash with Greece.
Sometimes unfairly viewed as stubborn in his choices, Clarke has called up a number of previously uncapped players during the recent Nations League campaign, with Cieran Slicker, Nicky Devlin and Connor Barron also being added to his squad over the last 12 months as he looks to freshen things up after a disappointing Euro 2024 campaign last summer.
But how many of Scotland’s new faces will go on to have a memorable, long international careers in the years to come - and how many will never don the navy jersey ever again? The aforementioned names will be hoping they don’t follow in the footsteps of the 13 players named within this list of ‘forgotten Scotland’ players.
But how many of these former Scotland internationals can you remember?

9. Robbie Stockdale - 5 caps
The Redcar born midfielder opted to switch allegiance from England to Scotland in 2002 after appearing for the Three Lions under-21s side. A regular for Middlesbrough in the English Premier League, he was handed his Scotland debut by Berti Vogts during a 2–1 home defeat to Nigeria in April 2002, and went on to play a further four times for Scotland. Now a coach, he's spent time at Sunderland, Hibs and West Bromwich Albion. Had a one year spell as manager of Rochdale in 2021, but more recently reverted back to his role as first team coach with both Gillingham and Barrow. | SNS Group 0141 221 3602 Photo: SNS Group

10. Jordan Archer - 1 cap
Currently a backup goalkeeper at EFL Championship side Portsmouth, Archer's international career failed to take off when his one and only cap saw him at fault for both goals during a 2-0 defeat to Peru in 2018. | Stu Forster Photo: Stu Forster

11. Michael Devlin - 3 caps
Devlin was included in the Scotland squad for the first time in October 2018, but didn't make his debut until the following year, starting the 4-0 Euro qualifying defeat to Russia. Still only 31-years-old, Devlin features regularly for Ayr United in the Scottish Championship. | SNS Group Photo: SNS Group

12. Ian Black - 1 cap
Played for Inverness, Hearts, Rangers, Shrewsbury Town and Blackpool during his career, but only the once for Scotland. Handed his maiden call up while playing in the fourth tier with Rangers, Black was a late substitute in a friendly against Australia. Was last reported to have changed careers and has began work as a tiler. | SNS Group 0141 221 3602 Photo: SNS Group
