Scotland boss Steve Clarke handed maiden call ups to the trio of Lennon Miller, James Wilson and George Hirst during the last international camp, with the latter two getting on the pitch during the Nations League play-off clash with Greece.
Sometimes unfairly viewed as stubborn in his choices, Clarke has called up a number of previously uncapped players during the recent Nations League campaign, with Cieran Slicker, Nicky Devlin and Connor Barron also being added to his squad over the last 12 months as he looks to freshen things up after a disappointing Euro 2024 campaign last summer.
But how many of Scotland’s new faces will go on to have a memorable, long international careers in the years to come - and how many will never don the navy jersey ever again? The aforementioned names will be hoping they don’t follow in the footsteps of the 13 players named within this list of ‘forgotten Scotland’ players.
But how many of these former Scotland internationals can you remember?

5. Ross Wallace - 1 cap
A regular at youth level for Scotland, the Dundee born winger was given his one and only cap in 2009 during a friendly match with Japan. Despite being overlooked by Scotland, Wallace had quite an impressive playing career, gaining promotion to the English Premier League with both Sunderland and Burnley. 6. Dylan McGeouch - 2 caps
Picked up two caps in 2018 against Peru and Mexico after a strong season with Hibs. Moved to Sunderland that summer, but was disrupted by injuries at the Stadium of Light and returned to Scotland with Aberdeen shortly afterwards. 7. Chris Maguire - 2 caps
Currently playing for Eastleigh in the National League, Maguire is often viewed as player with an ability that should have seen him play at a higher level during his career. A popular figure during spells at Oxford United and Sunderland, he played twice for Scotland as a youngster, but is perhaps more widely remembered for scoring a goal from the halfway line immediately after the restart in a qualifying match for Euro 2011 against Iceland for the under-21s. | Getty Images Photo: Getty Images

8. Garry Kenneth - 2 caps
The centre-back was part of the Scotland under-19 squad that made it all the way to the final of the 2006 European Championships, and was tipped for a big future after breaking into the senior squad at Dundee United. Linked to Blackpool in January 2010, the club were reported to have rejected two offers from the-then second-tier outfit, with Dundee United's valuation of the player closer to £2million. Just two years later, he would depart to sign for EFL League Two side Bristol Rovers on a free transfer. Played for Scotland twice, making his debut in August 2010 against Sweden. | Getty Images Photo: Getty Images
