A number of Scotland internationalists could be on the move in the January transfer window ahead of an important year for the national side.
Last summer's window saw plenty activity involving members of Steve Clarke's squad with Scott McTominay and Billy Gilmour completing big moves to Napoli from Manchester United and Brighton respectively. Che Adams joined them in Serie A by moving from Southampton to Torino while Scott McKenna pitched up in La Liga with Las Palmas after leaving Nottingham Forest.
Lyndon Dykes completed a switch from Queens Park Rangers to Birmingham City while Stuart Armstrong moved across the pond to join Ryan Gauld at Vancouver Whitecaps in the MLS after departing Southampton. Ryan Jack found himself in the Turkish second tier with Erokspor following his Rangers exit while Liam Cooper ended a decade at Leeds United by joining CSKA Sofia in Bulgaria.
Who else could join them in switching clubs this month? Clarke will certainly be keeping an eye on any potential transfers involving his squad ahead of a big year for Scotland with a Nations League play-off against Greece in March followed by the start of World Cup 2026 qualifiers in September.
Here are 10 Scotland players to watch in the January window...

9. Nathan Patterson
The Everton full-back missed Euro 2024 and the start of the season due to injury and has made just four substitute appearances in the Premier League since returning to full fitness at the end of September. He appears to now be third choice for the right-back position behind Seamus Coleman and Ashley Young. A return to Rangers, who sold him to Everton for £11million two years ago, in a potential loan deal has been mooted in the January window for the 23-year-old Scotland international. | Getty Images

10. Greg Taylor
The Celtic left-back has entered the last six months of his contract and, with no extension agreed as yet, is facing an uncertain future. He is now free to speak to other clubs regarding a pre-contract move in the summer, while reports in Croatia claim that Dinamo Zagreb want to sign the 27-year-old in the January window, although it would appear that Taylor's preference would be to remain at Celtic until the end of the season at least. Brendan Rodgers has made it clear that he wants to keep the player, but with Kieran Tierney closing in on a return to Celtic, it would be no surprise if Taylor moved on. | SNS Group
