The listing with Christie & Co. reads: “The Railbridge Bar & Bistro is located in the historic Coastal Town of South Queensferry, sitting under the iconic Forth Bridges. South Queensferry is a picturesque town located to the west of Edinburgh.

“The subjects comprise licensed restaurant premises arranged over ground and first/mezzanine levels within a detached building of traditional construction. The subjects benefit from various external areas including a beer garden/ seated trading area to the front elevation.”

The bar and restaurant, which has a spacious outdoor seating area and is dog-friendly, is a popular spot on sunny days and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The menu includes dishes such as Scottish mussels; steak and ale pie and Cullen skink.

Local suppliers include Welch’s Fishmongers who supply the kitchen with fresh fish and Henderson’s of Glenrothes who supply the meat products.

More recently the bar has partnered with Johnnie Walker and introduced TVs to show live sports events such as the Euros and Six Nations.

The year end September turnover is listed as c.£1.5m (net) and the sale is for the freehold.

In early 2025 South Queensferry was named the most beautiful town in Scotland in a Daily Telegraph survey. But local business owners have spoken out about their concerns over ongoing roadworks. While locals and businesses have welcomed the improvements, they claimed the lack of communication from the council and a worry about trade is causing huge concern.
